The 4th ERMSAR Conference (European Review Meeting on Severe Accident Research) was hosted by ENEA in Bologna (Italy) on May 11-12, 2010. It gathered 98 participants from 23 different nationalities (8 non-EC countries and 15 EC ones).
Five invited papers presented SA R&D in BARC (India), new LWR types analysed in Finland, ASAMPSA2 FP7 project on PSA21 best-practice guidelines, PANDA containment experiments, and South-African applications of the ASTEC integral code to HTRs2. The network partners presented papers on their joint work, including some first conclusions of the work done in the first period. The final session was the opportunity of very interesting and lively discussions, in particular on the links with PSA2 and on the future of SARNET beyond FP7.
