The 6th Management Team meeting was hosted by JSI in Ljubljana on October 27th 2011. The main discussion focused on the organization of the next ERMSAR-2012 Conference.
The contractual documents on the FP7 project (Amendment to the Grant Agreement, Consortium Agreement) are being currently updated to take into account the change of the Consortium, with entry on Oct.1st, 2011 of the 43rd partner, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in India. Discussions are ongoing with two Japanese organizations, JNES and JAEA, that have expressed their will to join SARNET. The entrance of the Japanese organizations should allow to reinforce the actions that progressively were defined in the Work-Packages (WP) on the understanding of the Fukushima accidents, in particular by providing more reliable plant data.
Several papers related to SARNET have been presented in the NURETH-14 Conference in Toronto (Canada) from 3 to 7 Oct.2011. In particular a whole track was devoted to 9 WP5 papers (In-vessel corium coolability). Two posters on SARNET general progress were presented recently: one at the EUROSAFE Forum in Paris on Nov.7-8 and the other at the SNETP General Assembly in Warsaw (Poland) on Nov.29, 2011.
A paper on the general features of the network and its main outcomes is under preparation by the Management Team for publication in a scientific journal in spring 2012.
